Common name.  Sago Palm Cycad

Botanical name.  Cycas revoluta

Description. A beautiful feature plant suited to temperate to tropical climates. Grow in full sun, frost and drought tolerant, little water once established. Can propagate from seed or pups. Grows to 6m - 7m high.

Common name.  Screw Palm

Botanical name.  Pandanus spiralis

Description.The Screw Palm bears a large, pineapple-like cluster of fruit that turn orange-red when ripe. Because of its sharp spherical leaves makes a common protective nest for wildlife. Grow to 10m high.

Description. The Society Garlic is a low growing clumping plant with purple flowers. The leave of the society garlic can be chopped up for use as garnish. Requires full sun with moist well drained soil. Grows to 30cm high.

Description.  The Ti plant is a cordyline with dark purple-green leaves with white flowers. Grows to 50cm high.

Botanical name.       Harpullia pendula

Description. The Tulip Wood has veiny, green leaves and yellow/green flowers. This tree requires full sun with moist well drained soil. Grows orange, marble sized fruit. Grows to 15m - 20m high.

Botanical name.  Iris pallida variegata

Description.The Variegated Iris has bright green leaves with a yellow stripe with mauve flowers in spring/summer. Grows in full sun, to approximately 1m high and will clump.

Description.The Mad Hatter has bright green leaves with purple or white flowers. The species adapts to a range of soils in a sunny or partially shaded situation with good drainage. Grows to 60cm high and 90cm wide.

Description. A evergreen clumping plant that can grow to approximately 1.5m high. Grow in full sun to part shade and requires little water once established, also frost tolerant. Has lots of white/yellow/purple flowers, very popular for landscaping.

Botanical name.  Dietes bicolour

Description. A evergreen clumping plant that can grow to approximately 1.5m high. Grow in full sun to part shade and requires little water once established, also frost tolerant. Has lots of yellow flowers with three dark purple spots on each, very popular for landscaping.

Common name.   Zebra Grass

Botanical name. Miscanthus sinensis zebrinus

Description. An unusual clumping but non invasive grass with horizontal variegation. A great feature plant with long cream coloured flower heads in summer. Will grow to approximately 1.6m high but needs to be cut back in winter to promote new growth. Grows in full sun to part shade, great in pots.
