Common name. Australian Tree Fern
Botanical name. Cyathea cooperi
Description. The Australian Tree Fern is very particular with its conditions. Heavy frosts may kill the fronds, but plants recover quickly. The plant prefers protected, shady moist conditions but can be grown in sunny areas. It does not do as well in full sun as when grown in shade and must be well watered. Grows to 15m high.
